Hi, in this article, I’m explaining how I made Airtel AirFiber portable so that I can use it inside my home and take it anywhere I want.
Airtel AirFiber comes with a fixed outdoor unit that works with a 5G network. In urban areas, 5G coverage is quite strong, so I decided to try removing the outdoor unit to see if it would work inside my home.
After connecting both the router and the outdoor unit indoors, Airtel AirFiber worked seamlessly indoors.
Next, I took it to a different location to check if it would still work or if it was locked to a single address. It worked perfectly at different locations, too!
For added portability, you can use a router UPS. Here’s the link to one I recommend (compatible with the new Airtel AirFiber router).
